"Hard working, honest, creative."

I started my career 24 years ago, before the online revolution. As a Lead Graphic Designer for Digital Equipment Corporation, I was responsible for a wide range of visual design projects: product icons, cover art, page layout and technical illustrations. This was an excellent start in developing a strong sense of good design and style.

In the 90's everything was going online. I was creating interactive and database-driven websites, what we call Web Based Applications today. Although web technology was primitive then, with imagination and skill I was able to create innovative applications.

Later I joined the ambitious design and development team for the Compaq customer support site. The team understood putting the customers needs first was the key to a good web experience. We were recognized for this when we were honored with the "Excellence in Online Customer Service" award.

Around the time of the Hewlett Packard merger in 2002 I had mastered a high level of database expertise. Many of my peers saw me as "the database expert". I had the opportunity to work on many large scale databases, develop nightly jobs that processed tons of data, and design systems that provided the fastest possible response time. Designing data-rich applications to distribute, search and present information on the web became a passion.

In 2007 I began doing agency work at wedu.com, New Hampshire's largest Advertising Agency. Many of the small business websites I developed with PHP and mySQL (a fast and flexible open-source database) are featured on my portfolio page.
